Gifts and Surprises

April 6, 2016

Since moving up to Hereford I have seen many gifts and surprises from my Heavenly Father. Do you ever get those moments where you think I just don't deserve this? I can't believe God even uses me but he does. I don't think we will ever understand!

God wants to shower us with his love to reveal his promises to us. We can never earn his grace or love but he freely gives it to us. With the obedience of moving up to Hereford I have seen his faithfulness! He never fails to disappoint!

With starting up this business I didn't have a lot of money but I knew this business could impact people's lives through.

God reminded me of the story of the lady with the jars of oil:

2 Kings 4 (NIV)

The Widow’s Olive Oil

The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.”

Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?”

“Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”

Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.”

She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.”

But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing.

She went and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left.”

God has provided more then I could ever imagine; money to buy equipment and stock and much more I had little but God has overwhelmed me with surprises just like he filled the empty jars of oil. Nothing is impossible with Him!

Matthew 17:20 (NIV)

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
